Vision

I began to approach photography in the early 90s in familiar contexts, a passion sought and desired in a completely intuitive way. Only after several years I became more interested in the art of photography, following lessons, and participating in some small exhibitions organized by students. In the first half of the 2000s, I actively collaborated in the initiatives of the Deaphoto Cultural Association of Florence which, thanks to its courses, managed to broaden my horizons regarding this medium. The enthusiasm just aroused, however, immediately had to doze off for reasons of life, but he patiently waited.

When a few years ago I got closer to photographic theory, which I studied for a year in an in-depth course, I had just embarked on a spiritual path that in the meantime has profoundly changed my life. It seemed natural to me that, if I wanted to continue to deal with "theoric photography" and perhaps also writing about it, I would have had to combine it with the new ideological paradigms that I was discovering. In this way the project "Appunti di Viaggio" (Travel Notes) was born, a digital newspaper where I could pour ideas and insights on the photographic medium together with spirituality, two things apparently distant and instead closely related.

Over time I have accumulated several writings which, being accompanied by at least one photograph, are to be considered as captions. The images, therefore, act as an inspiration for the texts, and the latter are often just attempted links between the doctrine of the Vedas and the theory of photography. The essence of Hindu teaching is attributable to a single practice, which is that of self-observation. Observation is also an essential condition for practicing photography. Here is the link that seemed unlikely.
As a photographer I observe, and later I observe my observation.
