TO TAKE A PICTURE IS ALL WE HAVE

Potenza (2018)

Jiddu Krishnamurti explains the difference between the thinker and the thought, the experimenter and the experience, the actor and the action, and how actions, experiences, and thoughts come first and secondarily they create actors, experimenters, and thinkers that in reality do not exist. If we apply this logic to photography, we realize that the action of taking a picture comes before the idea of a photographer (which is imagined by the act of photographing). Therefore, without identification, there is only one free, uncontrolled, and happy creative gesture.
